How to find Archie and unlock the Where in the System is Archie triumph in Destiny 2

Robot. Dog. Need we say more?

The fate of the Solar System hangs in the balance in Destiny 2 but NONE OF THAT MATTERS BECAUSE ARCHIE THE EXO DOG IS MISSING!

Look, maybe humanity will be wiped out in Destiny 2 for all time, but that doesn't matter if the Archangel, better known as Archie, isn't ok. We've found him before by solving the mysteries deep within Seraph Station.

This time we will be searching high and low within the tower to track this goodest of space-doggos down, and earn the Where in the System is Archie? Triumph while we are at it.

On this page:

Who is Archie in Destiny 2?

Archie is a dog. But also a robot. But also maybe the last Warmind, a hyper intelligent military? Ok, that's a lot, but we can explain.

Archie is an Exo, a self aware machine containing the uploaded mind of a living creature. Exo's were meant to house human minds as a way of achieving a sort of immortality. How and why a dog was made an Exo isn't clear.

What is clear is that Archie also contains the last bits of Rasputin, a powerful Warmind that defended Earth until sacrificing itself to stop the destruction of the Traveler. Rasputin was created during the golden age to defend human civilization from potential threats, a job he performed off and on until being (mostly) destroyed by the arrival of the Pyramid Ships, uploaded to an Exo Frame of his own, then destroyed in order to bring down the Warsat network.

Before his demise, Rasputin left bits of his code in Archie. Whether it was to use Archie as a black box to store information, or if some of his consciousness truly resides with this robo-hound, isn't known. But we do know you can pet Archie, and that's what truly matters.

How to Find Archie in the Tower Destiny 2

'Where in the System is Archie?' is a triumph tied to a secret quest in Destiny 2. In order to complete it you will need to follow a series of clues in The Tower to ascertain the whereabouts of Archangel, the beloved robot dog.

First, you will need to visit Archie's typical spot near Ada-1, just down the staircase from Ikora Ray. Investigate the Paw prints you see near crossing the rug, then go visit Ada, who will assign you the 'Where in the Tower is Archie?' quest.

There are four clues you will need to solve in order to finish this quest. At the first three you will be looking for more pawprints, the final clue will lead you to Archie himself.

The clues are:

Archie heard about something called 'ramen' and had to see what all the buzz was about.

The Ramen shop is at the edge of the courtyard area opposite Ikora Ray. Look inside the shop.

Archie wanted to go pay his respects to a famous gunslinger.

Visit the memorial to Cayde-6 at the central location of the tower, near the tree toward the back-left corner as you face the city.

Archie took off past the security checkpoint to salute a feathered friend.

The salute-worthy feathered friend of course is The Colonel, a chicken that resides in the hanger near the memorial to Amanda Holiday.

Archie's last stop. He wandered into an open air duct in the hanger and might have gotten a little lost. A friendly security frame is keeping an eye on him.

There is a staircase and an opening leading into the vents near the Hanger Entrance. Go inside, and follow the path until you reach a small room. Now turn around, and go through the doorway leading towards the tower security desk. Archie will be waiting for you to come say hi.

Once you give Archie your regards, head back to Ada to turn in the quest. After that, claim the 'Where in the System is Archie?' triumph in your menu. Now you can now get back to less important things, like the fate of all life in the galaxy.

How to Find Archie in the EDZ Destiny 2

Archie is missing again (shocker, I know). Once again you will need to visit his normal hangout spot near between the Drifter and Ada-1 in the Tower. Once you do, check in with Ada, and she tells you Archie was last seen by Devrim Kay in the EDZ. Go talk to him, and he will send you on the search for Archie proper.

Just like before, there are four clues that will lead you to Archie. The clues are:

Archie heard about some feathers behind a fireplace. He’s hoping to find a glowing bird.

This is located in a building in the Southeast corner of Trostland. Look for the sign that reads 'ABS Kastner.' Archie wil have left glowing paw prints on the second floor.

Archie heard Guardians have picked up a chill new hobby called 'fishing' and went to check it out.

The only place to fish in the EDZ is in The Outskirts, West of Trostland. Make your way over there and look for the fishing hole on the coast. Archies prints will be near there, somewhere along the beach.

Archie heard about 'ship full of tanks and space rhinos' and decided to go take a look.

Naturally the Space Rhinos are the Cabal. The Ship is in the Sunken Isle. It’s huge, and very difficult to miss. Go directly under it, and follow the ramp leading up. It’s the same path you take the The Arms Dealer Strike. Archies glowing prints will be right on this path.

Archie’s last stop. He heard some Guardians talking about 'the place where we reclaimed the Light' and some cool floating rocks there.

The final clue points to The Dark Forest. To get here, start by fast traveling to The Sludge. As soon as you arrive, walk forward, and look for a path to your right towards a waterfall. Behind that is a cave, and a path to follow.

Eventually you will arrive next to a large Jammer device. Get close and you can disable it, which opens a Taken portal. Jump in, and clear all the enemies from this area. Now disable the two Jammer nearby to open a second portal. Repeat in the next area with more enemies and three Jammers, jump in this last portal, and you will arrive at the boss fight.

The boss is just a normal, but sturdy Cabal. Clear the extra adds while chipping away at his health. Eventually he will summon a shield. You will need to disable the three Jammers in this area to deactivate it. Once you’ve done that, take the boss out. Archie, who is held in a nearby forcefield, will be release. Go give him some Pawsitive Reinforcement, and he will transmat back to the Tower.

Visit Ada-1 one last time to finish the quest, and collect your loot. Now you can go give Archie pets as long as your want. Or at least until he gets into more trouble next time.

How to Find Archie on the Moon Destiny 2

You aren’t going to believe this, Archie is missing again. By now you know the drill, our first step to finding the electric pooch is to check out his bed close to Ada-1’s room in the Tower. She will tell you he is on the Moon, and to check with Eris Morn.

Once you talk to Eris she will give you the clues you need to find the robo-pupper: Archie was hoping to send supplies to his friends across the system using the accelerator. Too bad it’s broken.

The accelerator in question is in one of the very first places on the Moon that Guardians ever set foot on, Archer’s Line. Follow the path to the west until you reach the area, and look for the elevated rail (this used to be used as sort of a cannon to fire cargo into space). Find the collapsed sections, and investigate the glowing pawprints.

Archie wanted to see the temple where the Guardians famously 'woke the Hive'!

Your destination is the Temple of Crota, on the eastern edge of Anchor of Light. Follow the path through a building to reach the Temple of Crota. The entrance is down a narrow path to the right of this building.

Once you reach the temple, go through the doorway, and look on the farside of the room to find the next set of prints.

Archie heard about a place where Guardians took a plunge to defeat a Hive prince. Then some Witches started performing a ritual.

This plunge refers to the giant opening down into the Moon called the Hellmouth that serves as the entrance to the Crota’s End raid. It’s right next to the Anchor of Light then north from here to the Hellmouth. Look for the platform on the Northwestern rim of the opening to find more signs of Archie.

Archie’s last stop. He decided to ignore Eris’s warning and go find out what was so special about a lunar Pyramid.

Archie’s last stop is the Pyramid ship. The fastest way there is to fast travel to Sorrow’s Harbor, then pass into the large structure to the North.

Once you are inside, look left and go through this totally not ominous door.

Keep moving forward through the dark caves until you emerge in a dark canyon. Eventually the path leads to a view of the Pyramid ship. Archie will be hanging out on a rock, waiting for your pawsitive reinforcement.

Once again, visit Ada to let her know Archie is home safe and sound to finish this weeks quest.

Make sure to give Archie some good pets when you find him!
