All monsters in Content Warning

As of the May 2024 update, there are 32 monsters in Content Warning, and each has their own unique look, and sometimes a unique way to escape their traps. We've got all their names and pictures detailed below, along with how to escape them (if you can).

Keep in mind that some enemies actually spawn in hordes on rare occasion. We recommend just running if you see a horde, unless you come across a particularly harmless, or low threat, enemy type.

With thanks to user Neftali to on Steam for finding them all in the game's files first and user WorldEndWonder on Steam for filling in some of the blanks, here's a list of all monsters in Content Warning and how to escape them:

Monster How to escape Picture
Arms ︎Arms lives up to is very descriptive name and has a pair of long arms intent on grabbing and sucking the life from you at speed. A shock stick can help combat it, or a teammate can get close and distract Arms as it tries to switch targets. To avoid it completely, run away if you start to hear footsteps in the surrounding area.

Barnacle Ball Hide from it behind structures and walls, as its wind current can suck you in, and its projectile attack can harm you from far away if Barnacle Ball has you in its sights (or whatever it sees you with).

Big Slap Run away! Don't get slapped by it, or you'll lose a large amount of health.

Black Hole Bot (Voidrone) If you stay around the Black Hole Bot for too long, a 10 second timer starts, and once zero is reached, a black hole is formed, sucking surrounding players into it and instantly killing them. The black hole continues to expand once activated, so the only way to survive it once activated is to run back to the dive bell.

Bombs Don't get too close, or Bombs will blow both of you up. Alternatively, you can get it to throw a bomb near you, then run to try and blow up the creature with its own ammunition.

Button Robot This tempting little robot is entirely harmless...unless you press its button, which activates an explosion killing you and the robot. Obviously, just don't press the button and you're safe, but you can get some great footage if you sacrifice a team member.

Cam Creep Cam Creep is only visible by using the camera, so seems to only target those holding the camera. It can be very dangerous, as its weapon of choice is snapping your neck and instantly killing you. You can deter it by catching it on camera, or just avoiding it until it gets bored and runs away. Cam Creep will return, however, so be very careful if you know one has started stalking you!

Dog Stay away from its laser sights or you'll take a steady stream of damage from its projectiles. Try losing the Dog around corners or jumping over its head to get away quickly.

Ear If you see Ear, slowly walk away from it, as sprinting will alert it to your presence. If you do get grabbed by Ear, try shouting into your mic to create a loud noise, as this annoys it.

Eye Guy Avoid shining light on Eye Guy up close, as he will spot you straight away. Instead, record him from far away. If Eye Guy starts chasing you, just run away like normal and you'll eventually outpace it if you start with a full stamina bar.

Fire True to its name, Fire is basically a walking, creepy flamethrower who is a huge destructive force. Its flames engulf entire corridors, so we recommend just running away when you see this tall monster!

Flicker The only way to escape Flicker is to run away from the area it's in when you see the warning signs that it's close. The issue is, Flicker is usually invisible. Instead of looking out for the monster, you need to pay close attention to your camera. If it glitches or blurs, Flicker is close, if the screen flashes red, then Flicker is very close, so you should stare at a wall as you make your way out of the area, just in case you see Flicker and are instantly killed. Make sure to tell your friends to stay away or they'll get instantly killed too!

Harpooner Harpooner uses his gun to shoot you, then reel you in to use his big ol' kick. This takes off a lot of health, so it's not a great idea to give him the time to reel you in. Instead, turn a corner or get behind a wall to break the hook's line and get free.

Knifo (Harpoon) The only way to escape this creepy ghost child is to keep running away from it until roughly half a minute passes. You can also get it to leap at you if you're confident enough that you can avoid it, as it takes Harpoon a while to recover after an unsuccessful leap, giving you more time to run away.

Infiltrator This dangerous doppelganger imitates a member of your team, face and all, and if left alone with a real teammate will change their face and start hugging them to death. Communication is key to avoiding the Infiltrator's attack, as it can lure you in by emoting in the distance. So just ask if your teammate is really doing this before getting too close. Alternatively, just use a weapon like the shock stick on it, then run away!

Jello The only way to get away from Jello is to outrun it, but it's one of the quickest enemies in the game. The good news is that Jello doesn't actually cause any harm if you do get caught by one, but it will carry you to areas where other monsters are. Great if you need some more footage, but bad if you were just about to leave!

Larva Just run away if you ever see this centipede-like creature in the distance! It can be very fast when it wants to and can take a big chunk out of both you and your friends, as it will throw you at another person if you get caught. So if you can't escape it, at least tell your friends to run away.

Mime ︎While you can use the shock stick (and similar weapons) on Mime, we highly recommend just running away, as if you get too close, Mime will instantly kill you.

Mouthe We've never been attacked by a Mouthe after encountering one, so it seems to be entirely harmless. Its scream might attract other monsters - but again, this has never happened to us while playing.

Puffo ︎Puffo expands when you get too close, but it doesn't cause too much damage, so it's one of the easier enemies to deal with, as you can use all the usual tricks - like the shock stick - to deal with it, or, just run away. Puffo is persistent in its chase, however, so can block you while you're trying to run away from another monster.

Shroomer Shroomer only appears if you pick up a shroom item and hold it long enough - so just don't pick up shrooms if you want to avoid it. Its unique attack is actually permanently turning you into the Shroomer over time. If you're a solo player, you are killed after being transformed, but you get to survive if you're in a team. Just don't get too close to teammates, as touching them takes off their health.

Slurper If you get caught by a Slurper that slowly drags you to the ceiling, get one of your friends to throw an item at it by holding down the 'Q' button, then letting go. Or, drop your items to distract it. Be prepared to run right after though, as it doesn't take long for the Slurper to try and pick somebody up again. Unfortunately, neither of these methods are guaranteed to release you from the Slurper's hold.

Snail Spawner Just start running if you come across the Snail Spawner, as it will instantly begin to make up to 25 Zombe monsters appear! The snail-like monsters go away eventually, but you don't want to be in a room with 25 Zombes kicking you to death before that happens...

Snatcho Shine a light on this shadowy creature to escape its deadly grasp. You'll know a Snatcho is close when you hear a loud noise.

Spider Try to avoid its projectile spider webs as you run away from a Spider, as they are very difficult to escape from if you get caught in one. Getting caught opens you up to attacks from the Spider and any other nearby enemy.

Streamer The Streamer is a very dangerous monster, as they chase you down with their own shock stick if you get too close. Thankfully, you can outrun the Streamer if you've got a full stamina bar, and they can also be shocked.

Toolkit Whisk Also known as Whisker, this monster can only dash in straight lines, so you can bait it easily if it has you cornered and you need to make room to run away from it. You'll know you're near a Whisk if you hear a whisking/blending noise nearby.

Ultra Knifo Ultra Knifo is essentially just a bigger version of the ordinary Knifo monster (AKA Harpoon), so the same tactics work - run away or use weapons like the shock stick if it get too close. Just watch out for its leap!

Wallo There's no escaping Wallo when it grabs you, and it's nearly impossible to spot one before it attacks.︎ You're not killed when it gets you, however. Instead, you're transported to one of four different Realms, which you can escape by reaching the end of its course. Then, you're spawned on the real map in a random location.

Weeping The only way to escape a Weeping is to get a friend to solve the Captcha puzzle outside of the cage you're stuck in. Speaking from personal experience, this means you're dead from the moment you're trapped if you're a solo Spooktuber. To stop the Weeping from moving, somebody needs to be looking at it at all times.

Worm Although the Worm doesn't cause any harm, it does link two team members together once it has attached itself on one person, making traversal way harder than usual, and opening up the duo to attacks from other monsters. You can get rid of a Worm attached to a team member by using the shock stick on it (just be careful you don't shock your teammate instead).

Zombe (Snail) These common enemies are quite slow, so are easily avoided by just walking or running away from the area they're in. This makes them very easy to get footage of.
